Acute care

General Schedule: The Acute Care SIG is currently held virtually on Zoom once every 3 months. Meetings are held on a Wednesday from 7:00-8:30 p.m.. Dates and times vary to accommodate presenters.

Next Meeting:  July 19, 2023 @ 7:00-8:30 PM

Focus: We discuss and have presentations on various topics of interest that have been addressed by members of this SIG. We have held meetings that are solely discussion based as well as many meetings with a presentation and discussion format. Previous topics have included OT role in the ICU, management of delirium, addressing ethical issues, the Coma Recovery Scale (CRS-r), cognition in acute care, management of COVID-19, management of total joint replacements and fall prevention. We have a shared Google Drive folder that contains many of these presentations, articles related to these topics, and other tools/resources that our members have shared with our colleagues.
